Today was my first day home alone with both kids! I made it! It's been a long day... Jeff had some meetings in Lincoln so he got home late, ate a quick dinner, then had to head off again. It was a good day though. Besides the screaming fit Kayla had for 30 minutes or so two times today and the wooden play table that is now inscribed with Kayla's "signature" in crayon, there were no najor catastrophies! A friend brought me dinner to stick in the oven, so that was a wonderful blessing. Tomorrow I actually have to get out of the house with both kids for Jacob's doctor appointment. Hopefully I can make that happen!

Others have asked whether Kayla seems so big to me now. I always answered "not really" until Thursday or Friday when I actually changed her diaper again for the first time since Jacob's birth... (I was spoiled for a while!) Now, every time I change Kayla's diaper or her clothing, I can't get over how huge she seems compared to her tiny infant brother!
Grampy and Grammy Ingraham stayed with us for the weekend.
